Composite profile, more particularly for frames of windows, doors and cladding panels, having a metal inner portion (1), a metal outer portion (2), at least one insulating crosspiece (3, 4, 30) made of plastics material, which connects the said portions to one another to form a heat-insulating bridge, and having metal reinforcements, which are secured by positive locking longitudinally on the edges of the insulating crosspiece, for holding the insulating crosspiece between the projecting crosspieces (9, 11, 29) of the inner and outer portions, characterised in that the metal reinforcements of the insulating crosspieces are designed as metal crosspieces (5, 15, 25, 35) having through-openings (8, 28, 38) in the form of holes or slots, and the plastics material forming the insulating crosspiece is injection-molded onto the metal crosspieces, such that it penetrates the openings, and the metal crosspieces are thereby embedded immovably in the insulating crosspiece.
