PURPOSE:To prevent rear wheels from locking so early even if a load is one- sided to either side, by setting desired braking hydraulic pressure according to rear-wheel load, while operating a solenoid valve, controlling confined pressure, at a time when inlet hydraulic pressure excceds the desired braking hydraulic pressure. CONSTITUTION:A hydraulic pressure setting device 75 of a microcomputer 73 outputs a desired braking hydraulic pressure signal Sc on the basis of each of front and rear-wheel load signals Sp1 and Sp2 out of front and rear wheel load detecting devices 71a and 71b. A comparing device 77 closes a solenoid valve 21 when inlet hydraulic pressure becomes larger than the desired braking hydraulic pressure due to inlet hydraulic pressure SG out of a hydraulic pressure detecting device 79. As a result, with confined pressure in an enclosure chamber 51, the set load of a spring 63 is set to a proper value.
