Foliar fertilisers for long-term foliar application contg. macro- and/or trace nutrients are new when they contain a buffer mixture. The buffer mixture, which generally has a usable pH range of 1.0-8.0 (pref. 3.0-6.0), pref. contains poorly water-soluble cpds. and is pref. in the form of a dispersion in aqueous and/or non-aqueous solutions. Pref. nutrients are carbon, oxygen, nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, calcium, sulphur, iron, manganese, copper, zinc, chlorine, boron, molybdenum, sodium, silicon, cobalt and/or aluminium, pref. bound as hydroxide, phosphates, carbonates, silicates, oxalates, borates, molybdates, salts of polymeric acids, humic acids, amino acids, chelating agents, ligninsulphonic acids, protein fractions, amino acids, sugar acids, alginic acids, carbonic acid derivs., caseinic acids, fatty acids, hydroxy-polycarboxylic acids, their hydrogen cpds., and mixed precipitates.
