Human cytomegalovirus phospho-protein

A structural phosphoprotein of human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) with a molecular wt. of ca. 150 kd, designated pp150, and immunogenic fragments thereof, obtainable by expression of a gene located in the Hind III Y/N fragment of the genome of HCMV strain Ad 160, or part of these gene, are claimed. Specifically pp150 is expressed by a gene located in a 1.5 kb EcoRI-PstI fragment of the Hind III Y sequence.
