Method for prevention of organic growth in the underwater region on steel structures and ships, with the use of an electric anti-corrosion installation, is characterised by the fact that application of the d.c. voltage produced by means of a rectifier is timed. The electrical anti-corrosion installation contains a rectifier and at least one external current anode, and respectively a measuring electrode. The rectifier (2) is connected with the external current anod (3) via an adjustable timer (7). It is also connected with a measuring electrode (5) via a measurement result evaluator (6) and a regulator (8). USE/ADVANTAGE -Can be used with ships and steel structures partly or fully submerged. In comparison with the traditional anti-corrosion installations, it is more effective in preventing the formation and hindering the development of organic growths.
