The assembly to separate water and oil, in water which contains tensides and salts, has a thermal reactor under underpressure to evaporate the water content of the water/oil mixt. The steam is condensed by a cooler or condenser, under underpressure, followed by a collection vessel, also under underpressure, for the condensed water to flow in smoothly and without eddying. Any oil carried through with the evaporated water is sepd. from the surface of the condensed water in the collection vessel. The cooler and condenser operates on a counter-flow principle, or as a falling flow unit. The coldest zone in the cooler and condenser is near the surface of the collected condensation, where the condensation passes through a falling pipe, under underpressure and with a cross section only partially filled with the condensation, for the water to flow to the collection vessel. The outlet pipe has a sufficiently long length for any steam above the water level in the pipe to condense during the flow time. ADVANTAGE - The operation ensures that any oil carried through by the steam is effectively removed.
