The appts. to measure the twist and twist accuracy and/or knots in a textile yarn has a guide pin (2) at the free end of the moving yarn guide (1), with a permanent magnet, facing a Hall probe. The bracket (5) is of a ceramic material, as is the pin (2). The assembly is integrated in the processing stage of a textile machine. ADVANTAGE - The system can register the twists and shifts in yarn thickness, such as knots, in an assembly which can be integrated into the textile machine mfg. process.
