The interactive learning system uses information signal transmission with video and audio playback of stored signals. The playback can be interrupted by the pupil and the audio and/or video signals, not yet reproduced, can be played back. Pref. spoken information can be repeated in writing after the interruption. In such cases, additional information signals not yet displayed may be provided in video or aduio form after the interruption. The system uses a video and audio memory coupled to appropriate playback appts. as well as an input stage coupled to the memory. A video recorder may be used as an anlogue memory. USE/ADVANTAGE - E.g. for language learning. Facility for user's individual operation according to his understanding.
