The energy conservation wall (1) is used as dividing wall in a building, or is placed in front of it. The wall is hollow, and takes up the waste water from households, excluding water from toilets. The wall contains a pref. serpentine-shaped fresh water pipe, or a tank. Alternately, there may be a heat exchanger or a heat pump. A water feed pump is located at the intake into the wall. A valve discharges the cooled waste water from the wall, and there is also an overflow, and a tube, leading to the toilet cistern. The wall also contains a heater, and a tank, separate from fresh water/waste water, with pipes leading to hot water pipes.
