The method is for atomization of a continuously flowing working fluid, using a flowing gaseous or liquid atomizer fluid. The working fluid (12) and atomizer fluid (20,40) are brought into contact in an atomization zone (14), while executing a relative movement. Both fluids are moved parallel to each other, along an atomization path (22), until the working fluid is completely atomized. The path extends within the atomization zone, in direction of flow. The relative speed of the two fluids, in the area of their contact zone is maintained. ADVANTAGE - Simple and reproducible setting of degree of atomization and particle size.
