In an affinity carrier based on polyamides onto which polymers have been grafted, the grafted polymers are (a) 70-98% from vinyl monomers with functional side-gps. capable of coupling of formula CH2=CR1-COX and (b) 30-2% of co-monomers with non-coupling gps. USE/ADVANTAGE - The affinity carrier is used in fractionation of biopolymers (claimed) by affinity and immuno-affinity chromatography and in immobilisation of bio-molecules. Ligands in the form of peptides, proteins, enzymes, antibodies, blood factors, nucleotides, nucleic acids, glycoproteins and oligosaccharides can be covalently bonded onto the matrix.
