The magneto-therapy appts. has a field coil (11) stimulated by periodically generated current pulses. The pulses are produced by a source (13) adjustable in pulse duration and repetition period. At least one further field coil (12) is stimulated by pulses from the current source in antiphase to the first coils so that only one of the field coils is subjected to stimulation at any one time. USE/ADVANTAGE - For generating periodically varying magnetic field to which part of the body of user is exposed. Enables greater range of applications with simple design.
