The ground is lifted up by shares in a certain layer thickness and subjected to a mechanical mixing process so that the underneath moist areas are raised up to the top and mixed with the upper top soil layer. The cultivator comprises a combination of a bladed share grubber and adjoining rotor (2) fitted with winnowing strips of blades (10) which pref. engage the lower area of the soil layer loosened by the shares. The rotor is mounted underneath the moving soil layer. The winnowing strips can be helical with alternating pitch directions. USE/ADVANTAGE - For sowing preparation etc.,with increased efficiency and reduced power requirements.
