The clamping device comprises a base (1) with a sloping plane (3),and a wedge (2) which is movable on the latter and connected by a screw (4) and nut (5). The clamping device can be inserted into the hollow section on both sides of the slit, and the wedge is drawn up on the sloping plane by the screw and can thus be moved in the vertical until the plate is securely held between the wedge and the opposite slit side. The clamping device pref fits in the hollow profile with positive engagement. USE/ADVANTAGE - For tables, shelves etc.,with secure hold for plates of variable thickness.
