The fuel injection nozzle has an annular gap between the nozzle body (1) and a central needle (3) with a cross-section, which is adjusted corresp. to flow rate. Limitation of the gap width to a few mu , together with relatively long gap length, achieves very fine fuel atomisation, due to the large transverse force in the fluid. A deflector is located on the journal of the nozzle head. The injector needle has spiral recesses above the needle seat. Radial channels are located in the baffle surfaces.
