The receptacle consists of a bag made from a material which is difficult to ignite. The bag is open at one end and has a middle fold line (4). The bag is held closed by a spring formed from a flattened ring of spring material. A second spring is fitted close to the fold line so that the discarded material is retained in the lower half of the bag. When the bag has been sealed by the spring (6) it can be safely disposed of without the risk of causing a fire. USE/ADVANTAGE - Receptacle for cigarette ends etc. The unwanted material can be safely stored until a convenient means of disposal is available.
