The motor (3) and the guide grids (5) are fitted on a support (4) which by means of a link (6) is pivotably and fixably fitted to the machine frame (7). The link (6) permits pivoting around two axes. A pivoting device is provided, pref. in the form of a threaded spindle, hydraulic cylinder (8) or similar, which is fitted to one end of the machine frame, and also to the support (4) or components borne by it. On the support and/or on a guide grid a further guide device (10) is displaceably or pivotably fitted which can be inserted into an intermediate space produced by pivoting of a sieve star (2). USE - To pick up, clean and convey root vegetables onwards, from a harvesting machine.
