Vacuum cleaner floor nozzle motor driven brush roller control - influencing suction mode rpm of brush drive as direct consequence of motor current alterations depending on sensed load alterations and irregularities
The vacuum cleaner exerts influence by means of an assigned control unit. The vacuum at the floor nozzle, is also sensed parallel to the electric motor current. The sensed values are compared with typical carpet floor and smooth floor suction values stored in a memory. The drive of the brush roller is switched on or off corresp. to the comparison result. The motor current and the vacuum of the suction blower to be monitored, starting from a min. value to a max. value, are subdivided in to different respective motor current ranges or vacuum ranges. Typical motor current or vacuum values for the vacuum cleaning of carpeted and smooth floors are assigned, and stored in a non transient storage memory (EPROM). ADVANTAGES - Optimises and controls brush roller drive uniformly for cleaning carpets and smooth floors. User has simplified control using manual on/off switch with transition from carpeted to smooth floor and vice versa without noise.
