The tyre in the raw material state is constructed on an assembly drum in a first stage, and is then mounted onto the prepared rim. It is then pumped up and vulcanised followed by balancing. Vulcanisation takes place in a radially divided form without side shells, with the short side walls of the tyre formed from the radial segments. In the vertical position of the wheel the side walls and tyre bulge run in a vertical direction and at most deviate from the vertical by 25 deg. and pref. by 10 deg. The tyre bulge is vulcanised onto the rim and the rim key and crown are releasably connected to each other. USE/ADVANTAGE - To produce a motor vehicle wheel with which better balancing is achieved.
