The road safety device has pair of auxiliary direction indicators (3) combined with the wing rear view mirrors (2) at either side of the vehicle and controlled by the direction indicator lever (7) within the vehicle to provide an intermittent light indication. Pref. the combined direction indicator (3) and rear view mirror (2) have a transparent hollow housing containing a light source, attached to the vehicle wing via a mounting bracket (5), the reflective surface of the rear view mirror incorporating a vehicle velocity indicator for providing a speed check for the driver. ADVANTAGE - Provides clear indication of intended direction of vehicle for both pedestrians and other road users.
