The valve (10) is fitted to one part (9) of a half shell carrier (1). A water meter can be fitted between an inflow (4) and an outflow (5). The meter is clamped, at least in the inflow and outflow sections, by axial or radial alteration of distance at both sides, by sealing and clamping elements (7). The half shells consists of parts (8,9) which are connected with each other across an axis (A-A). The part (9) is designed respectively according to the desired mounting, such that the installation of the water meter can be undertaken as a valve meter fitting, an outlet valve, an angle valve or similar. ADVANTAGE - Allows use of single jet dry meter.
