The installation has a water meter (2) whose inlet (3) is connected to a rigid water inlet pipe (4) via a flexible pipe (7) and an isolating valve. An outlet (5) of the water meter is connected to a rigid water distributing pipe (6) via a rapid mounting and dismounting type connection (8) that is coupled to a check valve. Length of the flexible tube is assigned, such that the water meter is lifted up after disconnecting the connection.
