Electropneumatic pressure transducer for pneumatic control in motor vehicle - has higher switching hysteresis for part of valve controlling low pressure air contact than for part controlling atmospheric pressure contact
The transducer has a valve unit (2) operated by a membrane (3) and a dipping armature system (4). A mixture of low pressure air and atmospheric pressure is produced in a valve chamber (8) by control of the respective contacts (5, 6) connected to pressure supplies. The part of the valve unit (2) for controlling the low pressure connection (5) has, e.g. a double seat valve (7) with a valve plate (17), a tappet (18) and a spring (19) which provide a higher switching hysteresis than for the part which controls the atmospheric pressure contact (6). USE/ADVANTAGE - Forming combined pressure by mixing intake and atmospheric pressures and feeding to appliance, e.g. exhaust gas return valve.
