A security ring located on one section of a two piece hydraulic coupling for the connection of two hose or pipe sections, has an axial, non-rotating internal guide, operating between two end positions. This operates with a corresponding profile on the outer side of one section, and has a sawtooth profile on the side facing the other component to stop the closed coupling from releasing. A spring holds the security ring with the sawtooth elastically in one end position. The guide on the inside of the security ring (12) comprises at least one roller (17) lying in a recess (18), which engages with a groove profile (16) on one section. USE/ADVANTAGE - Security ring can be machined, simplified design of one coupling section.
