To extract samples from a pressurised autoclave, used in the treatment of textile substrates a probe is directed at least at one sample, and is positioned with a connection between the autoclave and a vessel. On opening a valve, the sample is carried through the probe with the liquid flowing through it. Pref. the cylindrical probe is attached to the sample, and an overcritical fluid is used at a pressure of 30-600 bar and especially 200-400 bar. The fluid in the vessel is passed to the autoclave reservoir. Before the valve is opened, the fluid in the vessel is at a lower pressure than the fluid pressure in the autoclave. USE/ADVANTAGE - The method is for the extraction of sample from a pressurised autoclave, to monitor the processing operation, such as in the treatment of textile substrates during dyeing, sizing, boiling, kier boiling, bleaching and the like. The operation gives a trouble-free extraction of a sample to check the processing action, with safety.
