The volumetric flow of fuel through the elements is controlled by rotating the pistons by means of the attached control levers (4). Each lever has a pin (5) attached to its outer end. This pin engages a slot (6) in the control rod (7). In order to ensure that each element controls its flow equally, the mechanism is set by applying an equal torque (8) to each piston (3).
