Each piston cylinder unit (7,8) is coupled to an elbow lever mechanism whose two elbow levers (4,5) are attached to the horizontally and vertically movable frame and to one end of the associated pressing arm lever (1). A stop (10) defines the end position of the two elbow levers after exceeding the stretched position in the tension position. The length of one elbow lever of each mechanism can be variable. Each piston cylinder unit pref. comprises two pneumatic cylinders connected in series and controllable one after the other. USE/ADVANTAGE - Pressing arms have definite end position when tensioned which they retain even when pressure drops.
