The parts to be cleaned are held in a basket (16) of the cleaning chamber (10). The cleaning process involves a washing stage, a rinsing stage, and a concluding warm air drying stage. The used cleaning solution is drained from the cleaning chamber and recirculated after passing through a filter (25). During rinsing the rinsing water is pumped back to the tank (12). From an overflow (34), used water flows to an evaporator (13) at the commencement of the distillation cycle. Steam from the evaporator passes through a steam-air heat exchanger (38) to heat the drying air, then through condensers (36,37) to heat the cleaning solution and rinsing water, and finally accumulates as clean water condensate in tank (39). USE/ADVANTAGE - Cleaning oil-contaminated machined parts. No additional heat source is required for drying air.
