The device has ultrasonic vibration exciters (3, 4) for cleaning car rims using cleaning fluid in a cleaning tank (1), where the car rims are cleaned by ultrasonic cavitation produced by the ultrasonic vibration exciters. A holding device holds vehicle wheels. A heating device heats energy carrier fluid. A rinsing tank (2) is projectingly attached at a front side of a wheel washing tank. The vibration exciters comprise piezoelectric transducers. The cleaning tank is made of a warm and vibration-insulated material.
