Bottle-sealing system using cap with skirt - thrusts cap in cylindrical casing over bottle head and crimps against neck by concave annular face in casing

The system seals a bottle with flanged head from which a flank slopes towards the neck. The cap (11) with skirt (13) is accommodated in a cylindrical casing (20) which is moved over the head in the axial direction. A concave annular face (23) in the casing crimps the skirt end (15) simultaneously in a ring under the flank of the bottle head (2). In the final phase of the axial movement axial pressure can be exerted on the cap and which is absorbed by the bottle (1). The latter rests on a support, and protrudes through the annular rib at the casing end without coming into contact with it. USE/ADVANTAGE - Very little wear on cap when fitting, being particularly for bottles of pharmaceuticals.
