The capillary column device comprises a controlled feed volume, at least one capillary channel and an outlet channel on a common bearer. The capillary channel (3) has a rectangular cross-section, and its height is greater than its width by at least a factor 5. Several geometrically identical capillary channels (3) are connected in parallel between the controlled feed volume (1) and the outlet channel (4) by connecting channels (2). USE/ADVANTAGE - A new type of capillary column arrangement with which, having as low a pressure drop as possible and good dividing power, a greater material throughput is possible.
