The arrangement for leak testing has a container which is sealed wrt. the outside world during testing. At least one noise signal generator (10) is mounted in at least one external wall (22) via a sealed mounting with its sound emitting surface (10a) facing into the interior of the device. The sound source contains a sound generation controller and a voltage source mounted in a common encapsulated housing, which may be sealed. The housing protrudes out of the container wall and has an externally accessible on/off switch. USE/ADVANTAGE - For testing cooling circuits carrying pressurised coolant, bulk material silos, fuel tanks, power or telephone cables, pipelines, electrical switch cabinets, pressure chambers in nuclear power stations etc. Enables leak testing without opening or closing tested device.
