Ring spinner and robot communication system for yarn break servicing - uses existing current and other supply lines with interfaces to connect robot microprocessor with the machine control
Communication system between the microprocessor at the robot and the machine control is through a supply line or a current supply such as a control or measurement line. Interfaces are between the microprocessor and the communication lines and between these lines and the process control computer, which also provide other data transfer links. Where two robots are used at the machine, a dedicated interface is pref. provided for each robot. With a number of ring spinning machines, each with robots, they pref. have parallel communication lines connected to a common interface linked to a common operating computer system. An external filter pref. prevents dispersion of data from the communication lines to external units, formed at least partially by a transformer in part of the current circuit, and a condenser parallel to the primary coil. At least one further automatic servicing/maintenance unit uses an interface for the communication between its microprocessor and the machine control, such as for automatic doffing or traveller exchange, or a blower/suction system. An automatic siever can transport system, with its own microprocessor, is connected to the ring spinner through an interface when it is docked at the machine. USE/ADVANTAGE - The system gives a combination of a ring spinning assembly with a robot for servicing and maintenance, and repair of yarn breaks. The communications between the robot and the workstation are effective and simple, and also allow the deployment of other maintenance units.
