Conductive pigment (I) contains 5-95, pref. 20-80 (wt.%) component A, comprising conductive lamellar pigment(s), and 5-95, pref. 20-80% component B, comprising conductive, non-lamellar pigment(s). Component A may have a lamellar carrier, opt. coated with metal oxide(s) and the pigments have a conductive coating of doped metal oxide(s), metal(s) or other conductive cpd(s). Component B is of similar compsn. but consists of particles with about the same dimensions in all 3 spatial directions. (I) is prepd. in conventional manner. If they are of the coated substrate type, the lamellar and non-lamellar substrates are mixed and then coated with metal oxide(s) or other conductive cpd(s). USE/ADVANTAGE - (I) is used for pigmenting lacquers, printing inks, plastics systems or coatings (claimed). When incorporated in plastics, (I) gives higher conductivity than either of the components alone and eliminates the need for multilayer coatings.
