Electronically commutated DC motor rotor - has interdigitated arrangement of claws extending through plane of symmetry between two discs enclosing permanent magnets
Electronically commutated DC motor rotor - has interdigitated arrangement of claws extending through plane of symmetry between two discs enclosing permanent magnets
The rotor has two or more permanent magnets or poles clamped between parallel circular ferromagnetic discs (3, 4), around the edges of which are claws (5, 6) having all the same breadth in the circumferential direction of the rotor. The claws of the respective discs are interdigitated at uniform spacing and they all lie within the circular cylindrical envelope of the rotor enclosing the magnets or poles. Their edges may be either straight (as depicted), or convex at one side and concave at the other. ADVANTAGE - Construction of rotor is guaranteed to allow optimal function of motor.
