The fastening consists of several hooks (3) fixed to the case-lid (2). A bar (4) movably mounted on the case's bottom part (1) has bolts (5) fitting into the hooks. A sprung locking-piece (9) grips behind a collar (11) on the bar, on the track along which moves each lid-hook. The collar is formed by a recess (12) in the bar. The locking-piece consists of a plate-spring element with an upwardly curved tongue (10) stamped out from a U-shaped sprung metal plate holding the hook on the base (14) of a box-shaped cover (7) fixed to the inner wall of the bottom part, with openings in the sides for the bar. ADVANTAGE - All closure points shut tightly and the lid is well sealed even when tilted.
