The device processes several ends of eg barrels, simultaneously. The barrel top, base, and/or a ring, may be clamped in a forming tool, which is driven about an axis of the barrel. A forming roller is pressed against the clamped end by an advance drive. Two forming tools are located axis-parallel next to, and orientated relative to, each other. The tools are driven synchronously. At least one forming roller is located centrally between the forming tools, and movable by the advance drive. Due to this, both clamped ends of the barrel are formed, so that the tools together form a profiling plate.
