For empty running of the tunnel oven, push beams are moved from the rest position into the work position behind the last row of sterilisation material at least in the inlet (E) and the outlet (A) and are moved with the sterilisation material in the inlet in the direction of the transfer plate (9) to the conveyor belt (11) and in the outlet in the direction from the conveyor belt to the transfer plate, finally removing the sterilisationmaterial from the oven. To bring the push beam into the work position at the inlet (E), the last row of sterilisation material is moved with the transfer plate (9) in the direction of the conveyor belt (11) by the thickness of the push beam. USE/ADVANTAGE - Used in a tunnel oven, to obviate or reduce particles settling on sterilisation material.
