The camshaft valve control mechanism is for an IC engine with two rows of cylinders (4,5). Each has inlet and outlet valves (9,10,13,14) with an inlet camshaft (15) and an outlet camshaft (16) arranged above the rows. Each camshaft works through rocker arms (27,28) and the valves for a particular cylinder are so inclined that their axes intersect along a line (19) running vertically to the dividing plane (3) between the cylinder head and the cylinder block. USE/ADVANTAGE - Valve arrangement for IC engine optimises combustion chamber shape and ensures uniformity of fresh gas mixture delivery to all cylinders.
