The electrically-driven vehicle has an electric drive motor providing the propulsion torque, which is delivered to the wheels via an intermediate transmission. An oil circuit is used to supply cooling/lubrication oil to the electric drive motor and the transmission exhibiting a mechanical drive coupled to the latter, with a different electrical drive to the electric drive motor. Pref. the oil is circulated via an oil pump coupled to the drive transmission with the separate electric drive comprising a cooling motor for forced circulation of the cooling oil, the lubrication oil circulated by the rotation of the electric drive motor. ADVANTAGE - Provides oil for drive transmission upon failure of electric drive motor for emergency operation of vehicle.
