The combined cooling system and humidifier uses water at a temp. of 0.007 bar as the cooling medium, and for indirect cooling of air in the air-conditioning system. The water is caused to boil by bringing it to a temp. of + 2 degrees C via a heat exchanger (13) immersed in the water bath (4) supplied with water at 6 degrees C. The heat exchanger is fed to an air cooling device (15), with the water evaporation used for bringing it back to 6 degrees C. The cold water vapour remains at a pressure of 0.007 bar for use in humidifying the air in the air-conditioning system as required. ADVANTAGE - Provides substantial saving in electrical energy compared to two separate systems for cooling and air-humidifying.
