Device for breaking off the tips of ampoules containing a liquid. The invention relates to a device making it possible to break off and recover, without risk of injury, the tips of an ampoule containing a liquid. It consists of a clamp 1 having an oval orifice 3 into which the tip of the ampoule 4 is inserted. An overthickness 5 which is articulated 7 makes it possible, by simple pressure, to break off the tip of the ampoule 4. The small teeth or grooves 2 with which the clamp 1 is provided permit the recovery of the small pieces of glass waste. Once broken off, the tip of the ampoule 4 falls into the pocket 6 provided for this purpose, the pocket being folded in the manner or a concertina 8. The device according to the invention is intended for opening all types of ampoules and for recovering all the pieces of waste connected with this operation. IMAGE
