Process for manufacturing a container comprising a rigid shell (10) containing a flexible pocket, the said flexible pocket being suitable for containing a fluid or pasty product and for shrinking when the volume of product contained in the said flexible pocket decreases, the said process being characterised in that it comprises at least the steps of: - producing the said rigid shell (10), the said rigid shell (10) comprising an opening (15) intended to receive an open end of the said flexible pocket and furthermore comprising a vent (14) making the internal volume of the said rigid shell communicate with the atmosphere; - producing a pocket preform (1) from a material which can be softened by heat and which has a degree of flexibility at room temperature, the said pocket preform extending between a closed end and an open end; - inserting the said pocket preform (1) into the said rigid shell (10) which was solidified beforehand, the open end of the said pocket preform (1) being placed in the said opening (15) of the rigid shell (10), the said pocket preform (1) being at a sufficiently high temperature to have a soft consistency; and - blowing compressed gas into the said pocket preform (1) via its open end, or sucking out the air contained in the said rigid shell (10) via the said vent (14), so as to dilate the said pocket preform until it matches the internal shape of the rigid shell and until it adopts the shape of the said flexible pocket of the said container.
