The ski bindings (3,4) are fixed to the ski by wedges (15,16). The front wedge (15) is extended forwards by a projection (18) which is raised above the upper surface of the ski. A block of elastically deformable material (19) is sandwiched between the projection and the ski. The projection is the end of a metallic plate (21) whose other part is between the wedge and the base (7) of the binding. The plate is screwed (23) into the ski and the bases of the bindings are screwed (24) to the wedges. The front wedge can have a tongue under the projection.
