摘要
The current limiter has four pairs of superconducting spools (1,1',2,2',3,3',4,4') of similar height and connected in series. Each pair is formed of two windings electrically connected in parallel inversely. Each spool has coolant for the superconducting loops on their surface and directly in contact with the cryogenic loops. The pairs of spools are rigid and solid in annular discs (60,64) have holes (65) for the circulation of the cryogenic fluid and the extremities of the superconductors (70,73) have a special connection (74) of a very low resistance. The limitation of the current (10,11) is through the insulators (20 to 23). The length of each spool is different and the outputs of the superconductors (24,25,26,27,28,29) come from the conductors (32,33) and (30,31). The appts. supports a wide range of voltages from 25kV to at least 500 kV. USE - Control of currents in superconductors at very high voltage using inversely connected coils.
