An exorcise apparatus includes a bridge element of elongate form, which has two end regions. Two support elements are associated with the bridge element, each support element being adapted to engage a respective end region of the bridge to support the bridge. The bridge and the support elements are so configured that the support elements can engage the bridge in different relative positions, thus supporting the bridge at different heights. The bridge element (Fig. 4) can be of box beam construction formed from a channel moulding (36) closed by a plate (32) welded thereto. To prevent undue movement between the bridge element and support element a connector system (Figs. 7-12 - not shown) comprising a recess and an element bearing resilient arms can be provided. IMAGE
