An attitude control system controls the attitude of a nozzle of a CNC laser beam machining apparatus with respect to a workpiece surface being three-dimensionally machined thereby. An interpolator (1) for interpolating values with respect to -, -, X-, Y-, and Z- axes produces interpolation outputs (P, P) for the - and -axes. The interpolation output (P) for the -axis is read by a corotation compensator (2), which calculates a corotation corrective () depending on the gear ratio of gears by which horizontal and vertical shafts of the -axis are coupled to each other. The corotation corrective () is added to the interpolation output (P) for the -axis by an adder (4), making it possible to compensate for a corotation with respect to a desired gear ratio of the gears by which horizontal and vertical shafts of the -axis are coupled to each other.
