PURPOSE:To pick up a picture in response to the preferance of a photographer by making a picture of an electronic view finder corresponded to an exposure control value to observe the finish state of the photograph in advance at the electronic view finder. CONSTITUTION:The light of an object 5 is measured by a solid-state image pickup element 1 and a photometric output is converted into a characteristic of a film density at a latitude correction circuit 12 through an amplifier 7, an LPF 8 and a gain adjusting circuit 11 and led to the electronic view finder 13. On the other hand, a voltage V0 in response to a value (TV-SV+DELTAAV) depending on a shutter second value TV, a film sensitivity SV and a number of stage of stop DELTAAV from an exposure control circuit 16 is led to an OSC 20 and a reference pulse signal phi0 whose pulse period is changed in response to the V0 is led to a drive pulse generating circuit 6 from the OSC 20, the each picture element of the solid-state image pickup element 1 is scanned in the period changed in response to the V0 and also a synchronizing signal of the finder 13 is supplied. Thus, a picture in response to the density of the photograph obtained by film pickup is displayed in the finder 13.
