PURPOSE:To easily control the suction rate of a fluid material to be sucked with high accuracy by adjusting the blowing rate of the gas to be blown from a gas supply port to the inside suction path of a suction head. CONSTITUTION:A gas supply port 13 is provided in the suction head 3 which sucks the material to be sucked together with the ambient air A from a suction port 4. The gas is blown from the gas supply port 13 into the inside suction path F and the blowing rate of the gas is adjusted. The suction force in the suction port 4 is changed by this method, by which the suction rate of the material to be sucked is more easily and accurately adjusted than in the case of adjusting the height of the suction head 3.
