PURPOSE:To enable a conveyor belt of a large diameter to pass through preventing rollers from being damaged by configurating a device in such a way that appropriate numbers out of numbers of shape-retaining rollers which retains a flat belt in a form of a pipe, are intended to be elastically deformed outward, when it is subjected to an outside radial force that exceeds the preset limit. CONSTITUTION:When a conveyor belt 2 becomes excessively large in its diameter because of the excessive amount of carried materials in the conveyor belt 2 in a form of a pipe, a shape-retaining roller 3 is subjected to an excessive pressure to the outward direction. This pressure causes the shape-retaining roller 3, which is energized by a bifurcated spring (10) force, to be elastically deformed to the radial direction overcoming the bifurcated spring force allowing the conveyor belt 2 in a form of a pipe to pass through the roller. However, when the shape-retaining roller is excessively deformed exceeding a certain limit, a micro switch 15 is actuated permitting alarm bells to be made to sound. This configuration allows the conveyor belt in a form of a pipe of an excessively large diameter to pass through the roller preventing the shape-retaining roller from being damaged.
